Hey guys. So I completely forget to take pics of what I ate today so I’m going to have to forgo the usual ‘Monday Eats’ post. But we did have a pretty busy weekend that I’m excited to tell you about.
We went to Raleigh on Friday to watch K’s sister play in the NIRSA college basketball tournament. They didn’t win the tournament but the ladies played so hard and I’m glad we got to watch them.
On the food end of things, Raleigh’s restaurants didn’t disappoint. We had breakfast at Simply Crepes on Saturday, which is located in Lafayette Village. The inside of this restaurant is beautiful and the staff was friendly. I got a strawberry crepe and it was delicious. It was also the perfect amount to fill me up without making me feel stuffed.
That evening after the games, we went out with K’s family to Capital Club 16 in downtown Raleigh. I would love to eat there again sometime because there were several different entrees I wanted to try. I ended up choosing their Chicken Valdostana.
We said goodbye to K’s family on Sunday and headed back to CLT. We took a quick nap and went to a John Legend concert last night. K isn’t too familiar with JL’s music, but he took one for the team because I’m a huge fan. The concert was at the Belk Theater and I had so much fun! It was just John Legend on his piano, accompanied by a guitar player and a string quartet. I almost died, I loved it so much.
Have a great week!
