Hit up the farmer’s market
Purchased what was described to me as the “best and healthiest scone ever” (it was good. not sure about healthy but really, who eats a scone to be healthy?)
Celebrated the end of a Saturday workday with a margarita
And dined al fresco at Bad Daddy’s with a fellow RD!
Purchased a new pair of work shoes (Brooks Adrenaline GTS 15)
Browsed Southpark Mall for things I probably don’t need

Wore my new shoes to work on Sunday and they were cool
In case you’re wondering about the shoes, I ended up impulsively stopping at Dick’s 15 minutes before they closed the other night and decided to get the newest Adrenalines. They fit differently than previous versions but I sized up 1/2 size and I don’t think I’ll have any issues (esp since I’m not actually running in them). I wore them all day yesterday and they felt good. I typically go to the local running store for purchases like this, but they had already closed.
I have been working more weekends than usual lately because we have a vacancy in our department right now, but I have a 3-day weekend coming up so I’m pretty excited about that! In the meantime, I’ve been got a few house projects on my to-do list this week:
- putting together an Ikea nightstand… why I thought this was a project I wanted to take on, I’m not sure
- chalk painting a picture frame
- hanging some DIY wall art <—will be sure to share the final product with you
I feel like the Ikea nightstand may not end very well but I’m looking forward to the other two projects! I will be sure to share the finished products with you. And if you would like to share any tips for putting together Ikea stuff without going crazy then I’d love to hear them, haha.
